Prep Time: 20mins

Cook Time: 10-15mins

Servings: 6-7

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked rice

  • 1 can Luncheon Meat (12 oz)

  • ½ cup Pik-A-Pikel Pickled Garlic

  • ½ cup white sugar

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • ¼ cup oyster sauce

  • 1 pc nori sheet

  • 2 tbsp oil

Procedure:

  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar until the sugar dissolves.

  2. Slice the meat to your desired thickness. Coat evenly in the marinade and let sit for 5 minutes.

  3. Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Cook slices until lightly browned, about 2 minutes per side. Set aside.

  4. Line the empty luncheon meat can with cling wrap. Place a strip of nori inside, allowing it to hang over the edges.

  5. Press ⅓ cup of rice into the can, flattening gently. Top with a slice of cooked luncheon meat and one slice of pickled garlic. Lift out using the cling wrap.

  6. Fold the nori strip around the rice stack. Seal the edge with a dab of water.

  7. Enjoy warm for comfort or chilled for a refreshing snack.
