Tuna Mayo with Pickled Garlic Tamaki

A quick and flavorful hand-rolled treat, this Tuna Mayo with Pickled Garlic Temaki combines creamy tuna, tangy seasoned rice, and the bright pop of Pik A Pikel Pickled Garlic, all wrapped in crisp nori for a fresh, satisfying bite.

Cook Time: 5 mins (assembly)

Servings: 6-8 temaki


Ingredients:

  • 1 can Tuna flakes

  • 2 tbsp Mayonnaise

  • 5 cups cooked short-grain rice (sushi rice)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 4 tbsp rice vinegar

  • 12-18 Pik‑A‑Pikel Pickled Garlic cloves, thinly chopped

  • Nori sheets, cut in half

  • Chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)


Procedure:

  1. Season the Rice
    • In a small bowl, mix salt, sugar, and rice vinegar until dissolved.

    • Pour the mixture over warm rice and gently fold to combine. Set aside

  2. Prep the Filling
    • In a separate bowl, combine tuna flakes and mayonnaise.

    • Mix until creamy and well‑combined.

  3. Assemble the Temaki
    • Lay half a sheet of nori on your palm or a clean surface.

    • Add 2–3 tbsp of the seasoned rice on the left side and gently press.

    • Spoon a generous amount of tuna mayo on top.

    • Add a few pieces of Pik‑A‑Pikel Pickled Garlic for that extra pop.

    • Roll into a cone shape, starting from the bottom left corner and wrapping diagonally upward.

  4. Garnish & Serve
    • Top with chopped green onions (optional).

    • Serve immediately to keep the nori crisp.
